Expedition
Rex
It was well after dark when we got to our start point, but we gamely parked and then set off down the Vernon Trail. Heard coyotes yowling and yipping away in the darkness, but we didn't let that slow us down.
We were stopped, however, by the simple fact that crossing into the target field wasn't as simple as it had looked. The ditch was flooded, and down a steep embankment. I actually clambered down almost all the way to the ditch to try and survey it, but the long grass, darkness, failing flashlight, and depth of the ditch convinced me that this might not be the best idea I ever had.
Too bad, too--once in the field, achieving the hash would have been easy. In daylight, even, it may have been a successful Drag-Along achievement.
Achievements
Rex earned the My kingdom for a boat consolation prize
