Farmers are supposed to mark footpaths through fields by driving a tractor along the route or perhaps weed killing it. In this case, the path was signed but there was no evidence of it through the crop. Oil seed rape had grown tall and perhaps masked the way or perhaps it was never marked. I followed the field perimeter instead, using a faint path through tall grass. I got as close as possible and guessed where the path should be. Then it was a fight into the dense tangled crop. Soon I found tractor tracks and the going was slightly easier. That was hot work on a humid evening.

Expedition

After a long weekend away from 52 1 when I lost out on two reachable points, I resumed my expeditions.
