Location

This Geohash is located on a field near Blumenau.

Participants

Expedition

I was on my way back from a wedding on Osnabrück. The coordinates were relatively close (2.4 km) to the Wunstorf station, so I went on the way. It feels weird walking through a town in a suit, especially when you exit the town where the only people you see are walking their dogs.

The Geohash turned out to be behind a pile of bales. The field the bales were on looked to be planted freshly, so I carefully walked around the bales, not stepping on anything. There, I reached the coordinates and recorded proof.

There was supposed to be a Geocache on the other side of the field. I walked around the field on the streets and in fact found it! I have attempted a hash collision multiple times before, but either there was no line of sight, or I did not find the Geocache.

Afterwards, I walked back to Wunstorf and took the train back to Hannover.

There are multiple locations in Germany named Blumenau, one in Switzerland, a graticule-naming city in Brazil, and several locations in Poland, Russia, Czechia, Slovakia and Canada which used to be called Blumenau at some point in history. That is why I am issuing a Tale of Two Geohashes challenge to go geohashing in another place called Blumenau.
