Plans
This will be very similar to the expedition a few days ago on 2015-05-28 where I will ride a lot of the same route to get to this hash. It is right at the end of the sidewalk on the North side of the ramp so I am going to go "No Batteries" on this one. I am also going to attempt a Tron as well since this looks easy to get right to the hash and then continue on my way without worrying about crossing my path. Lastly, there are a lot of "Unions" out there so I'll make a Tale of Two Hashes challenge for this hash once I make it there.
Expedition
It was a dark and stormy day...but I wasn't planning on going to the hash until the afternoon anyway, so I just hoped it would clear up by then. In the meantime, I started a new project on the house. We are removing a small linen closet in the upstairs hall, which, due to how it was put in, requires pretty much a redo of the whole hallway.
Early afternoon just brought more rain, and I was starting to think I would just end up driving to the hash, but around 16:30, the rain stopped and I thought it would be a good time to attempt this. I was ready to go a little after 17:00 and while the roads were still pretty wet, I had a good ride to the hash. Around mile 11, I started to feel drops of rain, but it wasn't to heavy. Making it to the hash, I was still mostly dry and luckily, the rain stopped for a bit so I could get my pictures.
Now came the tricky part because I didn't write down the streets I needed to make it back for the tron. I managed to find all the proper turns and made it to Rt 62 without getting lost and just followed that back home. A few miles into the ride home however, the skies pretty much opened up and the rain really came down for the rest of my ride.
I am also issuing a Tale of Two Hashes Challenge for Union as this hash was located on Union Road.
