Location
In the Hardt forest, near Sierentz.
Participants
Expedition
I cycled 20 km to the nearest train station and embarked with my bicycle on a train from Colmar to Mulhouse. There I took the EuroVelo 6 towards Basel, with a small detour through the Hardt forest to reach the geohash.
The coordinates were located about 1 km away from the route. Conveniently, there was a grass covered path that led me directly to a small clearing. I only had to walk some 20 meters from there to the geohash.
Back on my bicycle, I pursed my route to Basel, crossing not one but two international borders: one between Huningue (FR) and Weil am Rhein (DE) and the order between Weil am Rhein (DE) and Basel (CH).
In Basel, I stopped briefly for a beer and a flammekueche before heading to the train station. One hour later I was back in Colmar, another hour later I was home. In total, I cycled a little more than 100 km.
