There are many great brands... Gippsland Dairy, Jalna, Farmer's Union, even Pauls. But Chris's brand greek yoghurt makes them pale in comparison. It's not gelatinous like Jalna, instead has a creamy consistency Farmer's Union, but much thicker, and with a richer yet less sour flavour. It is the superior yoghurt, and it's allure is only enhanced by its scarcity.

The only place that stocks it anywhere nearby, as far as I can tell, is the Churchill IGA. It's not really on the way to anything, so if I ever have an excuse to go to Churchill, I'll grab it! The geohashing gods provided such an excuse today.

I wouldn't recommend the ride, as a whole. It's hard to avoid many kilometers of highway unless one takes an overly circuitous route, and the blustery weather didn't help matters. But I did get to enjoy a couple of quiet back roads and a rapid descent down a plantation track. The hash itself was by a well-trod track just on the edge of Churchill township, and it was ridiculously accessible - a meter or so onto the grassy verge.

I'm sure the Geohashing gods and the Chris's yoghurt god (Jesus Chris?) were in cahoots, because it turns out IGA were having a sale on the stuff. $3 a kilo instead of the usual $6.50. Blessed be the Chris.

Plans

I have strong opinions about yoghurt.

There are many great brands... Gippsland Dairy, Jalna, Farmer's Union, even Pauls. But Chris's brand greek yoghurt makes them pale in comparison. It's not gelatinous like Jalna, instead has a creamy consistency like Farmer's Union, but much thicker, and with a richer yet less sour flavour.

Expedition

I bought two. Glorious day after all.
