Plans
I'm arranged with some friends in Hann. Münden for our traditional walk on New Year's Eve, doing a medium hike to find some geocaches and have some beers together afterwards, but since this hash is exactly in my homezone, I guess I'll give it a try on my way home - even under the influence of some alcohol hehe... December has been a bad month regarding geohashing, so this one simply is a must have!
Expedition
As planned, I drove to Hann. Münden and met with my friends at 11 am. After having a corona-injection (coming from a 33 cl can this time), we were ready to walk a nice tour, found some geocaches and enjoyed some more beers on our way. Around 1:30 pm it was time to say good bye and I drove to the little village of Asbach, where I arrived at around 2 pm...
The car was parked at the edge of the little town and from there I did a 1,5 km hike to the hash. Some 100 meters from the hash, I discovered an artificial pond, made two years ago to create an habitat for an endangered frog-species (the Geburtshelferkröte - Alytes obstetricans to be exactly) - quite an idyllic place that I didn't expect to be here. From here, I had to go off the path to reach the hash, which turned out to be a little treestump. To celebrate this years last found, I enjoyed a little bottle of Warsteiner Winterbeer and appreciated the silence and the nature around me...
