The city of Eau Claire is the hub of the 44, -91 graticule, but the region covers mostly the area to the south. This region also contains a small corner of southeastern Minnesota. Winona, Minnesota residents will have a difficult time crossing the Mississippi River without trekking down to La Crosse, so it is recommended that they geohash in that graticule.
