Expedition

This expedition started precisely like the one two days ago. I went by bus to the Wroclaw Różanka station to catch the D3 train. Even the delay repeated itself. This time, it was just 20 minutes. The train runs as a D3 to Wroclaw Główny, where it changes to the D9 line to run further south to Lichkov in Czechia. The last 40 km are operated by a bus replacement service, though. Because of the delay, my hike would need to be fast-paced so as not to get stuck in Bystrzyca Kłodzka for nearly 3 hours.

I got off in Gorzanów precisely 20 minutes later than planned, leaving me a bit over an hour to hike over 7 km. As a fast-walker, even unable to stroll, I decided to take the bet. The first distraction was right next to the bus stop. A black cat lying in the sun trying to hypnotise me. I resisted a strong urge to pet it, took a photo and went further. Gorzanów, before WWII, was a well-developed town. Now it's just a quiet village with less than a thousand population and… a castle and a couple of manor houses.

In the middle of the hike, after around half an hour, I reached the coordinates. They were located on a muddy field; getting there from the road without getting knee-high muddy was challenging. The vistas were superb, with the Bystrzyckie Mountains on the west and the Śnieżnik Mountains with Czarna Góra on the east.

After recording proof, I checked repeatedly not to repeat yesterday's mistake; I continued walking to Bystrzyca Kłodzka. Fortunately, I had some spare minutes before the bus departure to get some snacks. The bus took me to Kłodzko Miasto, where I got the train to Wroclaw Główny. There, I changed for a train to Wroclaw Nadodrze. From there, I took a bus home.
