I finally saw a hashpoint with a really good chance of being publicly-accessible, and decided to head out after work.
Expedition
I reached the hashpoint well after dark, it was located a few hundred feet down a dirt road. The point appeared to be right on the edge of the road, a couple feet into the grass. I got out of my vehicle and wandered around a bit to try to pinpoint the exact location, but didn't get a very low HDOP.
