Friday, and what a week. Work wasn't cutting it, and a long lunch was just about right. Traffic to and from Tacoma mid-day should be about the best I could hope for - slightly better than the middle of the night. Geohashcar away!

The drive was relatively quick, the Prius mileage reported 50.3 - a slightly optimistic number, but likely within one mile per gallon of the true number. Not converting that to kilometers per liter though. I scoped the area with street view first, and this looked easy peasy - and it was. First picture posted was standing on the spot.

I didn't sidewalk chalk near the spot. However, the alley was marked with a curious XIV, just less than 5 meters uphill from the hashpoint. Just north of that was NS. North of that was dirt, and across the street similar. Not sure what that was about, and I didn't look further.

Stealth geohash accomplished, I went a very short distance north to a place I'd seen in pictures (and films) but not visited in person. It being a school day and a closed campus, I didn't wander the grounds, but there was a nice view from just outside the fence. Stadium HS, then the Stadium HS stadium, and then of course Stadium HS beyond the Stadium HS stadium. I would issue a "tale of" for stadium ... but it wasn't the geohash. This time.

I snapped a few more nearby pictures and took the lunch part of the long lunch. The drive back north was uneventful.

The county line used to be an east-west line across Commencement bay. It has now been adjusted to mostly match the boundaries of Tacoma city. Either way, this is a Pierce county geohash point.
