Well, I heard about Geohashing almost at the time when famous XKCD strip came out, but it took several years to me to plan the expedition. I have even moved several times across the Czech Republic. But on Sunday in November, I finally decided to go without knowing the actual destination.

Expedition

Well it started with a lot of complains from my family why we are going to some random location. And I have to say that the Czech Republic is very nice and there are quite many nice places and hidden gems. This expedition was exactly like that.

The place is around one hour driving from out city. Kuklov is a small village near Svitavy. First we made a small detour and stopped by a lake Rosnička

Then we finally arrived into small Czech village Kuklov. There is one geocache nearby, so we parked at the suggested parking lot near children playground. Then we started our journey to our final destination. First we went along Bohemia / Moravia borderline. There are even border stones defining the exact border. Then we left the village part and went straight to the woods for our GPS coordinates which we have found in the middle of nowhere. As a proof we have left "GEOHASHING" message with current date on the place made with strobiles.

Just around 150 meters from the final coordinates there is a nice pond in the middle of nowhere with wooden sculptures and a shelter. Very nice find. Then we have decided to go around back to village to our parking place.

Very nice place which we would not visit at all in our lives.
