The Sortavala graticule is at latitude 61, longitude 30.
Lake Ladoga makes up about half of this graticule. It is the largest lake in Europe, and the 14th largest lake by area in the world. Most of the largest island Valaam (Valamo) falls in this graticule. It is best known as the site of the Valamo Monastery and for its natural beauty.
