Hi Robyn, when creating my user page i was aware, that there´s still a "Thomcat", but luckily not yet any "Tomcat" as in most other places in the www. So this time i was not forced to add some (unwanted) suffixes to my nickname, to distinguish from already exisiting users.

Hi Thomcat, thanks for your message. For us germans distances like those between Niedersachsen and Bavaria are quite far ;-) But aniway, your suggestion of a meetup on a weekend is promising and to visit one of the "northern"  graticules (seen from my homegraticule 49 11 Nürnberg) e. g. 50 9 (Fulda), 50 10 (Erfurt) or 50 11 (Gotha) by train should be possible. So, if you could manage to travel south to one of these graticules, i would be ready for a meetup on a weekend. I´ve discussed that already with Dawidi and he also agreed in such a meetup. Tomcat 19:29, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

:Glad to see that the two T[h]omcats got to meet. I'm also impressed with your statement that "For us germans distances like those ... are quite far ;-)"  A lot of people don't realize that there's a difference between places, and that 250 km is not a really far distance to travel for a meetup in Canada or the US.  -Robyn 20:32, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Visiting

Tomcat, I will be visiting your country in a few days. I will not have a car, but will try to geohash over the weekend by rail if possible. If you get down to Niedersachsen, we should definitely meet up! --Thomcat 23:29, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
