Hi there folks. I thought, seeing as your wonderful city straddles two graticules, you may be interested in the GraticuleH template I've created. Here's how it looks, fully populated. -- Matty K 13:00, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

A Außenalster water hash! Probably the coolest location in Hamburg so far. Would be a deja vu for me, too bad I won't be in Hamburg before Tuesday. Please, someone rent a boat (or buy a 20 € inflatable rubber boat, that's how I went there years ago) and go! --193.149.10.37 06:52, 2 October 2009 (UTC) (ilpadre)

Heh. I was totally thinking of doing this. We're actually heading in the general direction (towards Dortmund) - but given that I have to work until late today, it will be a bit too much and too late for me. I'm still hoping that Hermann would, though. -- relet 08:32, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

2009-10-09 inner-city hashpoint

I (ilpadre) will definitely visit this location, maybe even twice (first during the day, second try could be for a Walk Geohash). It looks reachable, with a perfect Pub Geohash opportunity. Anyone else going? --88.70.198.114 15:33, 8 October 2009 (UTC)

Shit, shit, shit. I planned to go there and didn't expect someone else to show up. Therefore I canceled the expedition as I met someone else. --Hermann
You can't say I didn't announce my plans in time. :) Too bad we didn't meet - I only come to Hamburg about two times a year, and was feeling incredibly lucky about that hashpoint being within walking distance. --62.104.87.219 18:44, 19 October 2009 (UTC) (ilpadre)
I wondered why I kept missing critical information. I just discovered that I had actually turned email notification for changes to watched pages off. My bad. --Hermann 16:24, 25 January 2010 (UTC)

Don't know if this football ground is open to public or closed on sunday. Could be there at any time. Is someone else coming? --Hermann 09:42, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

The hash is conveniently positioned for me to visit. I want to be there sometime between 13:00 and 20:00. --Hermann 15:06, 20 April 2010 (UTC)

I don't have a boat and all peoble I know who do are unfortunately busy. Chances are there are some ferrys that probably travel near the hash or even pass right through the hash, but I'd rather stay at the "Blankenese" shore. I can be there any time after 13:00 ECT. In case you are planning to come along, please leave a note here. --Hermann 15:48, 8 June 2010 (UTC)

This week's Saturday meeting isn't in particularly public-transport-friendly places, but Sunday (not far from Ohlstedt, end of the U1 line) and Monday (near the Gewerbegebiet Ahrensburg) look doable (both in the 53,10 graticule). Is anyone interested?

(I probably won't have time for either of them, unfortunately.) -- Pne 14:44, 11 June 2010 (UTC)

They are all too far away for me (or rahter: I can't spend that much time on geohashing). --Hermann 17:57, 11 June 2010 (UTC)

This week's Saturday hash will be in Appen-Etz, not far from the 594 bus stop "Appen-Etz, Kiesgrube". Would anyone like to try a 16:00 meetup? -- Pne 14:04, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Fun fact: the geohash is nearly exactly on the boundary between Appen and Holm! See map (which also shows the location of the bus stop):

Yes, I'll try to be there, although - if I remember right - the hash is on private property. You might wan't to know the hash lies near a quarry pond that allows swimming. I want to bring some friends, but I don't know about their exact plans yet, so I can't tell when we will be there. --Hermann 18:05, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

I'm also considering getting there at 16:20 and leaving at 16:36 - then I won't have to stay there 45 minutes (the bus only goes once an hour in each direction). On the other hand, I might stay come before 16:00 and go for a bit of a swim while waiting for the return bus. It depends a bit on whether anyone else is coming and what they plan to do there. -- Pne 20:28, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Good, I am now trying to be there with my friends at approximately 16:20 (we may go swimming before or after). Hope to find and see you there. --Hermann 10:25, 10 July 2010 (UTC)

I'll probably stay at home after all - it's too hot for me right now. Have fun, though! -- Pne 12:09, 10 July 2010 (UTC)

Glad to hear that, I was afraid you already started the expedietion. It's pretty much the same over here, I fully support your decision not wanting to sit in a freaking hot bus for an hour or whatever. My friends persuaded me to stay at home. We'll be watching a movie in the chilly basement. I think of biking there after the sunset, though. Never did that before. --Hermann 12:52, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
