Expeditions
Living in a mostly undeveloped area means many achievements are either rarely possible, or would require strange levels of bravery. So when an urban coordinate finally did come, I took full advantage of it. In retrospect I forgot to wear my nice suit.
For those wondering, my GPS is exactly one hour ahead, and fiddling with the DST settings doesn't seem to correct it. It took me at least 8 minutes to get a photo with all the evidence in focus, with only the flash for light, and no important screen information glared out. The weather office reported -17C at the time we were out. The 7-Eleven measures 2.58km from the coordinates.
I was greedily hoping for the coldest geohash record. I figured it was deserved after going through a week with high temperatures colder than the current record. There's always next year.
