The Ithaca graticule is at 42 degrees north, 76 degrees west. It includes the lakes Cayuga and Seneca, the towns of Watkins Glen, Elmira, Ithaca, Cortland and some of Geneva. It also hosts a number of universities, including Cornell and Ithaca College. In the north is Auburn, county seat of Cayuga County.
Activities
Water Geohash possibility for 6/2 if you have a boat! Only 500m into Cayuga Lake.
Saturday Meetups
2008-05-24: Just off route 34, some nice scenery was there for us south of a little village called Van Etten. At least two and possibly three different groups of geohashers came (close) to the location, but not at the same time. Images are posted.
2008-06-21: Near Auburn. Paul claimed to have visited and taken photographs, and he took his sweet-ass time uploading them.
2008-08-09. Just in the river. I suggest a meetup at the river walk. Drove by earlier and there appears to be streetside parking and a few nearby garage/yard sales.
