My name is Bas Wijnen, I used to live in Groningen (53, 6), and plan to return to the Netherlands in a few years, but currently I'm living in the USA (47,-88). I really like the idea of geohashing and do it when the hash isn't too far away. And sometimes when it is. I used to go by bike, or hitch-hiking, but both of these are (often) not reasonable here in the US.

If you want to meet at or near a hash point, let me know and I'll try to go there.

Shevek earned the Puppet Master Geohash achievement by manipulating Tchakkazulu to reach the (52, 5) geohash on 2012-03-30.
