The coordinates in the Providence graticule are in Coventry a few meters into Big River, a fairly popular spot for boating and easy to see from the nearby bridge.
The Journey
The chief driving person and snack grabber Yusuke's ride collected everyone from their respective homes, including an inflatable raft and bags of snacks, to begin the trek to "Big River". After about a dozen wrong turns (including two or three right turns that we turned around from because we felt we were going the wrong way), the entire party managed to find a parked car on the side of the road. The other expedition had stopped there, and was out hunting for the actual spot. While Nihilist and I unpacked the giant raft and paddles, Shannon and Yusuke went off to meet the "Patrick" we were supposed to find.
Meeting SUCCESSFUL!!! A good time was had by all! This geohash included, but was not limited to:
-a poor choice of raft inflation software
-tree abuse vis-a-vis raptor defense system
-the use of pseudoscience (a small stick) to retrieve science (a much larger stick)
-the placement of currency at the site (glad you clicked here now, huh?)
-encounter between boat-going types and the Internet ("We're the Internet!" The reply:"???")
-punch and pie (which looked, curiously, like chips, Coke of all sorts, and beef jerky)
-many puns
Two parties, five people, two successful water geohashes (I believe, need to check the rules for that).
