- Arrived. -- Sourcerer (talk) @52.0155,1.0065 23:31, 28 January 2015 (GMT)
Sourcerer arrived 30 minutes before midnight, getting slightly lost on the approach and finishing up surrounded by lease vehicles, many of which were white vans. There were roadworks on the dreaded A12 and the preferred exit was closed off so I had to divert along tiny country lanes looking for a bridge to cross the main road.
There was a parking place at a war memorial where poppy wreaths were still in place from the remembrance ceremonies last November. The walk was across a surprisingly dry field in 2 C temperatures with a biting January wind. There was a half moon lighting the way.
Curiosity: This hashpoint was 1.8km from the south west "home" corner of the 52, 1 graticule at 52.02, 1.007. This is my closest-approach. Is this even interesting?
