Plans
Baarde will take the 13:00 train from Lyon to Saint-André-le-Gaz then walk to the geohash. He expects to be there at 14:10.
Expedition
The geohash was located on a hill, just one kilometer and a stone's throw from the train station. However reaching the exact coordinates proved a little more difficult than expected. The hashpoint was on a narrow thicket between two meadows. While both meadows had an open entrance, they were fenced with barbed wire on the sides bordering the trees. I entered the thicket from the footpath and hacked my way through the undergrowth and fallen branches.
I reached the coordinates at 14:20, recorded proof and exited the woods. The weather was nice, the sun was shining on the foothills of the Alps, and I would have gladly staid a little bit longer. However some people like to schedule calls at 16:30 on a Friday afternoon. So I walked back to train station and promptly went home, just in time to learn that the call had been postponed.
