Expedition
My second geohash attempt of the day took me to just about as different of a place as I could imagine from my first attempt, which you can see here. Whereas I had visited backwoods, nowheresville Rhode Island earlier in the day, I now found myself driving through downtown New Britain, which had a... slightly different vibe going on. Apparently there are some things New Britain has going on for it, so I won't judge based on the part of it I drove through. Is it the cutest, most charming town I've ever visited? No. Not remotely. But I'm sure it's got its perks.
The spot in question was right on the side of McClintock Street, but once I reached it I had to take a minute to find a spot to park. I just dipped down a small road nearby and hoped that the people there wouldn't raise a fuss if I was outside their house. Sadly, the time it took to park, plus my visit to Taco Bell for a quick pit stop, made me just a few minutes too late for the 4:00 Saturday meetup, but there wouldn't have been anyone there, so it doesn't matter. Anyways, from there it just took me a minute to walk to the spot, and then, there it was. Right by the white stripe on a part of the road that nestled right up against a classic New England triple-decker, the kind I would see everywhere when I lived in Worcester. I didn't want to linger too long in case the people in that building got antsy, so I got some proof, contemplated for a second about how I had just achieved my first multihash, and went on my way. I had one more stop to make before I got home, which was my third attempt of the day.
