We turned south onto Interstate 82 and climbed up over the ranges of hills between Ellensburg and the Yakima Valley, made a quick rest stop outside of Yakima, and then continued up again, east and south and over the hills before descending into the Tri Cities area. | |

Anyway, it was peaceful and healthy-looking on a sunny summer evening, so we sat on the hashpoint -- just outside the third base line on a baseball field -- and enjoyed the evening. I used my phone to arrange lodging back in Richland, where we also ate dinner. We snubbed Kennewick altogether, but not out of spite. | ||
