Location
on a meadow next to model aerodrome in Nahe, Schleswig-Holstein

Expedition
An important exam was coming up in seven days, but I still decided to go for this hash because it was only 1.5 hours. So I took the bus to Nahe, which stops practically in front of my front door and only runs every two hours, and then cycled 3.5 km through light rain. Meanwhile I listened to musical comedy legend Weird Al Yankovic, whose first-ever concert in Germany I was going to visit three days later. The hash was located on a meadow behind a model aerodrome (an airfield for model planes, that is, not a model of an airfield), which I had to cross and was quite intrigued by. So I stepped over the fence onto the airfield (naturally, in strong winds and rain, it was empty), which really only consisted of a landing target, a shelter, a windsock and some fences. I continued through a small forest with ponds on either side, then walked across the wet meadow to the hash at its edge. From there, I had a good view of the typical north German landscape of mostly fields with some trees in between.
I made my way to my bike on the other side of the hedge bank, but once again went onto the aerodrome to check out the shelter. Besides some model flying rules and a big picture of a plane, there was nothing to see, however. So I started my journey home, again putting on Yankovic. After the first bend, I noticed a car stopping right ahead, which seemed weird, since there was absolute nothing around. I immediately thought it might be someone from the model club who had installed a camera or something, and indeed the driver stepped out and looked at me. He was huge and had tattoos everywhere, and the way I was coming from only led to the airfield. I expected him to approach me or yell at me, but instead he just stared as I cycled past. Strange encounter.
After 5 km, I reached the Korl-Barmstedt-Weg, a former railway track, on which I cycled the last 8 km home in strong headwind and rainfall, arriving completely drenched in rain and sweat. But at least the music was amazing.
