There was no getting to the hashpoint, though.  The way in from the road to the north was to steep and overgrown, so you would have to get to it via the Squaw Mountain Ranch, which looked to be a lo-fi retreat center or the like, and it was all gated up.  No dice.

Expedition

This expedition was something of an afterthought to my other weekend adventures. On the 10th, I drove down to Monmouth, went for a run, then parked in Salem and took the train home to Portland. Today, I rode my bike down to Salem, and picked up the car to drive home. It was a 68 mile bike ride, which is a lot for me and not a ride people often take, so that was good fun.

There was no getting to the hashpoint, though. The way in from the road to the north was to steep and overgrown, so you would have to get to it via the Squaw Mountain Ranch, which looked to be a lo-fi retreat center or the like, and it was all gated up. No dice.
