Plans
KerrMcF
This should be a very simple expedition, and I can't see much going wrong with this. I'll essentially drive straight to the point itself, which should take around 45 minutes. I'll then park at the roadside and get out, waiting until 4pm. After then, I'll head back into the car and drive home. Maybe I'll end up taking some things with me to earn additional achievements.
Expedition
KerrMcF
The expedition started with me getting fuel, but this didn't take too long, and I was soon on my way. The drive there was very simple with no issues whatsoever, and I parked at my planned part of the roadside at 3:51pm. Finding the geohash was easy, as expected. I took my photos, including proof for the Formal attire achievement, and waited until 4pm for the Saturday meet-up time. The general area looked decent, with a field of cows on one side and what I think was wheat on the other. The area was also next to a designated Scouts area, which meant that it had no public access. This wasn't the area containing the geohash, but it was very close by.
It reached 4pm, and I took a final photo of proof before heading back to the car. As I was doing so, another car drove up to this dead-end area, looked around for a moment, and turned back the way it came. Strange. Then, as I was driving back along the road on my way home, another car drove past me. Then another. And then another two. Either I just missed what I think would have been the biggest Scottish geohashing meet-up ever, or five people all happened to be going to this area at the same time as me. Maybe they were there to pick people up from the Scouts area, but that wouldn't explain the first guy who turned around pretty quickly. I'll probably never know what was happening. I got home pretty quickly without any issue.
