About
A wooded hillside in Redondo, just up from Wooton Park.
Expeditions
Thomcat
Showed up at the park at 4:00 and snapped a photo at the alternate spot. Daniel and I played catch for a bit, and when nobody else showed up, we headed for the hills.
After scouting a bit, we found a trail heading more or less in the right direction, with the added bonus that somebody had hacked through all the brambles for us! We found two small snakes sunning themselves on the path, but didn't get any pictures of those. After hiking a bit, we discovered we weren't the only ones to use this trail - geotrash!
The trail (such as it was) continued through a large ravine, and Daniel opted to lag behind. On the other side, the trail mostly ended at a large fallen tree. The GPS told me we weren't far enough north, and I doubted this tree would get me to the spot, but I clambered out a ways on it for the pictures.
On the way back, we picked up the trash and headed back to the park. A geohashing failure, but a fun meetup day success regardless!
Some pictures taken by Daniel.
