: well, I've still got a few months before the my hashiversary rolls around, but it's been good. I've been to places and met people I never would have otherwise. It got me riding more, and doing side-trips on long drives, so yeah, I have to say it's been entirely worth it. And really, I'm only a casual hasher compared to some, but I'm happy with what I've done so far. Now on to even more interesting and remote places! --[[User:MykaDragonBlue|mykaDragonBlue [- i have no sig -]]] 08:45, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

Welcome, blue dragon! Have you already found the page(s) of the graticule(s) where you would geohash? - Lyx 12:31, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Thanks, and Yep. Adding myself to Melbourne, Australia led to me creating my user-page. mykaDragonBlue [- i have no sig -] 12:58, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Myka Re 2009-03-07 -36 144. Cool expedition. Interesting with great writeup and pictures. Wish I had been there. Wondering about the tree and the concert and the wine though. --Bos 18:08, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

The concert was a Sunset in the Vines event featuring Jackson Brown and band, supported by Toni Childs, Richard Clapton and Tim Freedman. It was quite a good Open air concert, although it got a tad chilly once the sun went down. It was held at the Sutton Grange Winery just outside Sutton Grange, Victoria, Australia. The tree is an interesting one, and I'm kicking myself for not taking a long-shot of it. I've added a photo of the plaque that sits by the tree, and I'll have a look around for some more info. I've been told a more detailed history of it at some point, when a "Landscape and Lifeworld" class I had at university in Bendigo stopped there during a field-trip. mykaDragonBlue [- i have no sig -] 02:23, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

Hi, updated my page with a line which I hope will aid in the formation of a definition of close. :P --arran4 11:30, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Bicycle geohashes page

It has been suggested (see Talk:Bicycle geohashes) that the name of that page is a bit misleading -- the name implies it is a list of geohashes which meet the requirements for the bicycle geohash achievement, but actually it's a list of all expeditions, whether the coordinates were reached or not, that involved a bicycle for all or just some of the journey. I have re-written the introduction to that page to make it clearer, but would appreciate knowing if you have an opinion about moving the page to something like "cycling geohashers" or similar. I'm consulting the people who cycle most! Thanks for your time. -- Benjw 21:01, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

deflowered graticules

Yeah, I know that the bot would be quicker and not really less efficient, but I just kinda really wanted to do stupid bot like work atm. But still, thanks for the notice! :) -HiroProtagonist 01:36, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Auto-creating geohashes

G'day, thanks for the tip :) Well, I didn't know. It was kind of fun in a tedious sort of way. Future ones I'll do the easy way. Heh. Stevage 02:08, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

I've only gone geohashing once, but I'm already addicted to it. I can't image how I'll feel when a year rolls around. By the way, a year for you is approaching; how's the adventures been? - Bo 08:15 28 November, 2009 (UTC)
