The Carlisle graticule is at latitude 54, longitude -2. It is in the United Kingdom and encompasses parts of Lancashire, Cumbria, Yorkshire, Northumberland and County Durham, including Lancaster and Carlisle. The graticule is extremely rural, containing parts of the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Pennines. Highly remote geohashes of natural beauty should be expected!
Visited Geohashes
- 2008-05-27: a stream just outside Wennington. This was reached by at least two groups, on the first day of the 30W Time Zone Rule.
- 2008-05-24: a field of cows near Low Bentham. This was reached by at least three groups, who met near the site.
- 2008-05-21: a beach just outside Silverdale. The actual coordinates were not quite reached. This was visited on the day the algorithm was released, before the 30W Time Zone Rule.

- mrpwase might be available next year once I bring my car up to Lancaster from back home, and will probably try to rope some uni friends into semi-random roadtrips and hiking expeditions.
