Meetup is at 4pm near Bedfordshire Golf Club. Sign your names here if you're attending. To sign, click "edit" and type ~~~~. You don't need to register on the wiki to do this (it'll use your IP address rather than a username).
Will hopefully be there, uncertain if the exact location is accessible, is there a protocol for selecting a substitute location if we cant gain access? Android 19:28, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
I'm just aiming to get to the closest possible point to it, which I think is about 2/3 down Spring Lane. --AvengerPenguin 07:23, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
Oh, and also I might be in the The Royal George in Stagsden from about 2pm before heading over to the point about half 3 (so as to be there for 4) :-) --AvengerPenguin 07:25, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
I was wondering if http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=52.1285,+-0.551&ie=UTF8&ll=52.128496,-0.55099&spn=0.007034,0.015342&t=h&z=16&iwloc=addr might be a better meeting point, it appears to be on a bridleway and some other kind of public access (although the resolution of the map I found wasn't high enough to tell what kind), it might also prove more convenient than the side of the road (not sure how much space there will be there). Ok, I'm going to aim for your suggestion and if I cannot get there somehow, fall back to the side of the road as I said. I think that would be best. --AvengerPenguin 09:47, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
Just to be clear, the point I'm talking about is http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?daddr=%2B52%C2%B0+7%27+35.93%22,+-0%C2%B0+32%27+51.12%22+(52.126648,+-0.547533)&geocode=&dirflg=&saddr=Stagsden&f=d&hl=en&sll=52.126006,-0.546741&sspn=0.010684,0.026951&ie=UTF8&ll=52.128799,-0.561676&spn=0.010683,0.026951&t=h&z=16 (Google has set point B automatically as the closest you can get by road). As I said, I'll try your idea first, but if it's not a public path or anything like that, then I'll try for that point B there. --AvengerPenguin 10:18, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
Other Geohashes

Joe Hardman went to (near) the geohash location just outside of King's Norton, Leics, by cycle, in an attempt to achieve the cycle geohash. Photos at the details page 2008-09-12 52 -0
