::Cute! Tokoroa? Sounds like you have NZ roots? Hows uni going for you at the mo? You doing lectures? I assume you are the lecturer, or just really like learning? [[User:Greenslime|Greenslime]] 18:28, 12 October 2010 (UTC)

:::Yep, I'm from Tokoroa, although I've lived in the UK most of my life.  I always meant to go back at some point, but I never did.  You pick up ties and commitments after a while, and... oh well.  Uni would be good right now, thanks, if it weren't for exams (one done, one tomorrow and two next week).  You assume too much of me -- I'm a lowly final-year undergrad (maths), having left halfway through my first attempt at a degree, many years ago.  But I do really like learning anyway.  Don't you?  :-)  — <span style="text-shadow:grey 0.2em 0.2em 0.1em; class=texhtml">[[User:Benjw|Benjw]]</span>&nbsp; <nowiki>[</nowiki>[[User talk:Benjw|talk]]<nowiki>]</nowiki> 19:03, 14 October 2010 (UTC)

::::I find it so hard to believe that people can do maths, let alone a whole degree in it! It was a decisive factor in me choosing to do chemistry, a science with no maths (and no big words like Bio). Good on you though, whats next after the maths? A post grad degree? Im a bit of a perpetual student myself, been institutionalised for a good 7.5 years now :-) so yes, learning works for me too! All the best for your exams! It was another spectacularly rainy Auckland day, and Green left her rain coat in the car. Max had an umbrella, but seemed unwilling to share it. Too bad, I had a kite and I was unwilling to share that either. Very cute. The photo of you at the coordinates is great--having you in the front of the cliffs give them scale, and red boots on a dreary day is always a fun contrast. -Juventas 19:38, 8 August 2010 (UTC)

Thanks, I was chuffed I had the sense to bring the gumboots, forgetting the jacket, not so smart... Greenslime 22:40, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
I had a pair of red gumboots when I was really ickle, in Tokoroa. Mum still has them, and uses them as pen holders on her desk.  :-) — Benjw  [talk] 12:14, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
