The Childress, Texas graticule is located around latitude 34, longitude -100. It marks the start of the Texas Panhandle when driving US 287 from Fort Worth towards Amarillo and on to Denver.

Towns

Few and far between. Childress, oddly, has the cheapest gas in the area. Take full advantage of this fact before you leave town. Don't ask me how I know... I just know, ok?

The 65-mile Caprock Canyons Trailway begins near Estelline, which is between Childress and Memphis.
