Plans
Sadly, before today, I had not made a geohashing expedition in a little over a year, despite being signed up for email notifications of hash points falling within 20ish minutes of my daily commute from Durham to Raleigh. Thanks to these updates, I've seen a handful of hashes that I could have picked up fairly easily, but wasn't able to for various reasons -- maybe I had plans after work, or maybe it was winter and I didn't feel like wandering around in the cold, after dark, by myself.
So today's hash point popped up in my inbox, and I couldn't resist. It was only about an 8 minute drive from my office, and more or less on my way back to Durham. Plus it was on a road, thus granting me the potential to grab the Speed Racer achievement. The plan was to drive by and snap a quick picture on my phone.
Expedition
I got off work at 6, got in my car, put on some of Beck's killer early material, and set off toward my destination. I snapped a quick picture of my Stupid Grin™ at a stoplight, then rolled down Holden St, camera phone at the ready, and boom goes the dynamite.
