- In a private back garden. Coords not reached. -- Sourcerer (talk) @52.5732,1.7121 09:42, 7 May 2015 (GMT+01:00)
Normally 5 metre accuracy would be coordinates-reached but not today. Sadly my GPSr has GLONASS and WAAS enabled and the hashpoint was unambiguously on the other side of the garden fence - also according to Google Earth - Drat!
At about 15:00 ChromeCrusaders departed armed with the Crox poster and a Google Earth view of the back garden. Maybe he/they will gain the ambassador achievement by ringing the doorbell with a suitable story.
At around that time I left on my lonesome and knocked on the door. Before entering I send a text to Josh saying "If I don't reply within 15 minutes, send the police to todays Geohash point"
After having a very awkward conversation we determined that I could go in their back garden, if I didn't mind the German Shepherd which "Might be okay, but might not" - I decided I liked my body the way it is without missing limbs or bite marks and therefore decided against making a new friend. And I did catch a glimpse of the dog, it was pretty big. I guess however I did get closer then Sourcerer did...
I gave myself the achievement because I was theoretically granted permission.
