Location
A hayfield on Perry Street, Forest Grove, MI
Participants
Expedition
This was on an agricultural field of some sort but did not appear to be immediately behind a house or otherwise inaccessible. It was a little south of campus, and I was headed to work for the afternoon anyway, so I decided to try it despite the risk of No Trespassing.
It was a large grassy field, but not pasture (no manure, no tracks, no livestock, and no fence along the road.) It's probably a hayfield that had been cut before winter. There was a farm road headed almost directly toward the hashpoint, and no signs or other indications that walking to the hashpoint was inappropriate. It snowed pretty heavily last week but we've had two warm days and only the edge of the field was snowy. The grassy ground was soft but not muddy, and I made the 300 m trek with no trouble.
This is my 64th successful expedition.
