Expedition

Last week, I got some great news and was offered a position as a Data Analyst. Even better, my start date is May 1st and I have some time to play with.

I've also never been very politically active(I vote but that's about it), but this President really concerns me. So I drove down to visit my friend in Maryland and we are going to go to the March for Science on Saturday in Washington D.C.

On the drive, this hash was somewhat conveniently located near my route and looked like it was accessible. I was able to arrive without too much difficulty but I did take a wrong turn and had to backtrack at one point.

Getting close to the hash-woods, I saw the edge was posted at the closest corner and along the guard rail. However about halfway down the guardrail, the signs stopped and where I parked, there were none. Glad I had access, I then had to navigate the short but thick, thorny bushes. Fortunately, they were just near the edge of the woods and everything was very open after that.

The GPS had a lot of trouble with reception though so as I approached the point, I couldn't get a very good reading. But being within the sphere of uncertainty, I called it good and got my pictures. Another successful graticule added to my list, I continued on to MD.
