Participants
Plans
Taking the train from Hannover to Banteln, then biking to the hash, using my phone to get the exact coordinates. Meeting others, if they are there. Estimated arrival time: 16:00 CET.
Expedition
Everything went as planned, more or less. I rode my bike to Hannover's central train station, then got on the train, and left it at Banteln. Then, I rode my bike to and through Gronau, and then headed toward Brüggen. I never got there, because I took a left on a semi-path that led me into the middle of nowhere. (I also didn't go to Rheden, actually, which was the location Google Maps assigned the coordinats to.) After a couple of kilometers, I finally got close to the geohash.
I had to leave my bike on the path and walk the rest of the distance, but there, approximately 50 meters away from the path, on a field made up of mud and grass, at 16:06 CET, I reached the coordinates. I saw a plane fly above the coordinates, but I doubt they were fellow geohashers. Otherwise, I didn't see any other people. On my way back, I saw a couple of deer, but they ran away before I could get anywhere close to them. There were no cats, though.
