Expedition

Being the middle of the week in winter, I didn't want to try to go to this after work because it would be well past sunset in a quiet neighborhood in the suburbs. It looked accessible and there appeared to be a parking area right at the end of the street.

As described in my Trainwreck Non-Expedition from the previous weekend I hadn't fixed my car yet so I asked J if I could borrow her car at lunchtime for a quick jaunt over to the hash. She agreed (but didn't want to come with) and I was able to make the uneventful drive over. There was a yellow guard rail across the 'park' entrance and a trail going around. It says it's a park on Google maps but it's really just a wooded area that was never developed between neighborhoods.

I didn't have far to go, probably less than 100 meters in and the hash was on the other side of the brush from the trail I was walking on. I was able to squeeze by the thicker section and did a quick dance with the HashDroid app to get a good reading and some pictures. I then explored a bit more, but didn't find much before the trail got too muddy to continue. I then headed back to the car and home to get back to work.
