Michael5000 texted his mom Friday morning to alert her that there was a hashpoint quite close to her home in Bandon, Oregon. Mom, who has naturally been hooked on geohashing since her first expedition, 2012-01-21 45 -122, was eager to get to it, but there was a hitch: the car wouldn't start!
Things were looking bleak, but eventually she got a guy from the garage to come out and give it a jump-start, which was all it needed. This done, and driving around a bit to charge the battery, she made her way to the hashpoint, worked out my misleading instructions -- the house looks blue on Google Maps, but it is green in real life -- and took her celebratory picture!
...which made my day.
