Kyrkazakh (talk) hopes to unlock this graticule around noon (local time) today.

Expedition

Quite the saga to be frank. I'll keep things brief. Started out a bit later than planned in St. Paul; I would be attempting a multi-hash and a Tron run today, and I mostly planned accordingly. On my way west out of the Twin Cities I passed a couple familiar-looking towers and continued on until I reached Dassel in Meeker County (yes! Another county ticked off the list). There, I stopped and worked out a puzzle geocache, and I also recreated a photo from the town's Wikipedia page for an achievement. But it was time to head south into McLeod County (another new one!), passing through Hutchinson (graticule's namesake) on my way.

Soon, I turned off the county road onto a gravel road (RIP my car's cleanliness) and eventually found the spot to pull over, still trying to navigate in a way that I would be Tron-eligible. The hash site ended up being only a couple meters into the wet field, close enough that I don't believe I was even on private property. I took a few photos beneath the darkening clouds, including some with my crummy TSA bag lock to represent the fact that I successfully unlocked this graticule! Then I returned to my car, went to grab another geocache, and continued on towards 2024-11-10 44 -93...
