I'd join you save the fact that I have no bike and have plans for that evening. I will see how things develop. Xore 00:18, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
- If we can find somebody with a car, we would be able to do the hash in much less time. When do you need to be back in town for? - Elbie 01:51, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
- No bike, no car, what about a kayak? Talk:2009-06-06_49_-123
- Your Sunday expedition involves more hiking than I've ever heard of anyone in the lower mainland attempting. I really wish I was able to join you that day. There is
some sort of unpaved roadan unclassified 4wd road (worse than a logging road) that starts at the dam and follows the west side of the lake. That will get you to a point that leaves over 500m in elevation to climb with no trail. If the water is low (which I don't think it is), you may find yourself able to follow the unnamed creek south of the coordinates, or the larger Burwell Creek to the north. The coordinates actually lie on the peak of a steep ridgeline, which you will have to tackle no matter what angle you come from. I'm jealous! Juventas 18:09, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
That's... nuts. The distance to bike and hike doesn't seem too crazy, but the hike is, according to Google Maps, at least 400m of elevation gain over less than 2km through forested terrain with a grade of 40 to 80%. Best of luck? :S Yangman 07:56, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
