OtherJack, you're so right. It would have been awesome, and I regret that we didn't meet up. Our expedition was so unplanned, you see that we were even attempting the wrong coordinates. I made the expedition page minutes before leaving on the expedition, and hoped that it would turn up on the Geo Hashing:Current events page in time for real Seattletes to see it. I should have marked the restaurant as an alternate and if I had time I would have investigated more carefully what your graticule does to announce upcoming geohash plans.
