Location

In the Torrent d'en Llobet (stream) in Valldoreix, Catalonia. I know the area very well. I usually go for walks or running there.

Plans

I will walk there from home. I think I can be there in 30-40 minutes with no rush.

Expedition

Everything went nice and smoothly. Went for it at 17:00 meaning I still had like 1:30 hours of sunlight and took the binoculars with me in case I spot some interesting birds.

I didn't take the direct route but instead this nice marked path that goes through some of the landmarks of Valldoreix. The castle (from 1160, only a wall stands), the old football field, some old masies and lastly the path goes by the stream where the hash fell.

Along the way I found nothing special. Regarding birds the usual: robins, tits, sparrows and black redstarts. What I also encountered were some friendly cats. Well, I met them that it seemed they were having a firendly-ish stand-off staring at each others eyes but as I approached them carefully they both came very happily to me together. They even slapped each other kind of gently to go first for the pets so I will assume brothers. This is how I got the rare double-hashcat.

Now the final approach. I say it fell on a stream but it only carries water when it has rained and were are currently in a drought. So terrain and nature were gentle on me. Even with a thick vegetable cover I didn't had to dance much and I had rapidly a success reading on my rGPS.

Since it was on the bed of the stream and I had no way out in front of me and I had to re-do my steps and thus denying my tron-achievement. You can't have it all.

The rest was a pleasant walk back home. This is my start of 2022.
