The Manhattan, KS graticule is at latitude 39, longitude -96. The north edge runs along the Kansas/Nebraska border and includes the counties of Washington, Marshall and Nemaha. The south edge runs just south of I-70 and includes the counties of Geary, Riley, Pottawatomie and Wabunsee. The largest city in this graticule is Manhattan which is home to Kansas State University. Other cities include Wamego, Ogden, Junction City, Riley, Marysville and Seneca as well as many small rural communities and countless wheat fields. There are also two lakes: Tuttle Creek Lake and Milford Lake, both of which are man-made reservoirs operated by the Army Corps of Engineers. Also of note is the US Army base of Fort Riley. Protip: do not under any circumstances attempt to reach locations within the artillery range impact zone unles you happen to be driving an M1 Abrams tank.
