My puppet is Qunchuy, whom I was trying to convince to geohash, and who liked the idea, except that he doesn't participate in forums and things like that. I have e-mailed him several times with geohashes that happened to be in his vicinity, but today, paydirt. It was near the Google Maps dot for his town, but I didn't realize how close it had come until he replied.

It's a church parking lot. It's a half mile from my parents' house, visible across the field when the corn isn't too tall. I picked up my father and my niece this morning (two of my sister's kids are visiting from Chicago this weekend) and we went over. Church was just getting out, so the parking lot was starting to empty. The actual coordinates seemed to be in the middle of a handicapped parking spot occupied by a car, so we walked around the car and counted it as a success.
And when I asked him to proofread this, I discovered that "I don't participate in forums" was a "don't happen to" not a "won't". Expect a user page soon.
