Hello and welcome from the other Cambridge. I'll be out on my bike for a 4pm meetup as well. Hope you get your hash today and have a fun time doing it! — Benjw {talk} 08:38, 15 September 2012 (EDT)
- Hi, and thanks for the warm welcome. I hope your hash went well too, mine was quite fun although I didn't quite reach it as I didn't feel like trespassing into someone else's yard. Knyx 17:50, 15 September 2012 (EDT)
- Thanks. Mine went well; it was a sunny day and a nice ride, although I wasn't too keen on the headwind all the way home! Sorry you didn't reach yours -- how far away were you? If you'd like to write an expedition report anyway, we'd all be keen to read it. Anyway, good luck for the next one, whenever that turns out to be. — Benjw {talk} 06:23, 16 September 2012 (EDT)
- My expedition report is written and up (2012-09-15 42 -71). I am wondering if you would count it as a successful expedition, and if not whether get the badges for it (ex. Bike geohash). Knyx 15:27, 16 September 2012 (EDT)
- Awkward one. The 'official' line (as much as we actually have one) is that if you're within the bounds of your GPS's error circle, then you can count it as reached, but personally, I'd say that if I knew in advance that it was as much as 16 metres into someone's yard, then I'd count it as Not Reached if I stayed on the street. But some probably would count it. Go with what your conscience tells you. :-) As for the achievements, most of them really only count if you actually reach the point, but you might like to investigate the Radio Yerevan ribbon which you can tailor to any achievements you almost got. — Benjw {talk} 18:09, 16 September 2012 (EDT)
