The N36, W77 Graticule
The Roanoke Rapids graticule is a wonderful mixture of rolling farmland, small and large towns, forests, state parks, and the beautiful Gaston Lake. It is home to large mammals (white-tailed deer and black bear), and migrating waterfowl. A notable feature of this area is an ancient mountain range, now weathered away, called the Fall Line. This line is most noticable in the outcropings found at Medoc Mountain State Park.
