I parked about a half-mile from the hashpoint at the gate to the River Mill Dam. There was easy access down to the river bank, but from there the route downstream was difficult going until about .13 miles from the point, where it became impossible. The shelf where the hashpoint was behind a sheer cut bank. I backtracked to get to the top of the cliff and bushwhacked through the woods for a while -- lots of wet blackberries and nettles -- until, between the slope and thickening vegetation, I ran out of sane options. I bushwhacked north to Rivermill Road, my last option, and got to it right at a gate with not only a "No Trespassing" sign but a big "No River Access" sign. Thwarted!
