Expedition

Discovery of a possibly abandoned geocaching site in our graticule didn't stop Team MAKE from fearlessly venturing out into the middle of nowhere desertland after looking it up on Google Maps first and digging out the trusty GPS. It was easy to access, since it was right off of what we thought was a road (but turned out to be a dirt track in the middle of the desert), so off we went on our first geohashing expedition!

We found it easily after making our way through a rainstorm (in SoCal????) and discovered that not only was it awesome for being in the middle of the desert, but it was also in the middle of an ATV/roadbike course! Yippee! After making sure we were in the right place, flying kites there, driving through the spot at high speed, and flying a kite while driving through the spot at high speed, I gave up on anyone else showing up to play board games with me and you really can't play Settlers of Catan with just two people. So we left a little marker at the coordinates and decided to take the Subi on the ATV course! It survived with minor injuries, but made me want to come back with a dirt bike next time! Excellent first geohash with more to come!
