Today's geohash for our graticule is in the nearby town of Lincoln, and it looks to be in the middle of a small park or reserve. Too good an opportunity to miss.

Expedition

Having just taken possession of a Nissan Leaf, this was going to be her first Geohash outing. Powered overnight by the country's hydo-electric generators, this was going to less environmentally reckless than some of my other hashes! The round trip was 50 kilometre, so easily within range - there was 133km range on the power meter.

This was reasonbly straightforward hash, although with the trees around, a bit of vectoring off landmarks was required in order to have confidence that we were in the right spot.

And bonus - there was a pretty awesome slide about 20 metres away!

The latest addition to the family - the Nissan Leaf, 100% electic car.
At 50km for the round trip, this was the longest journey in the car to date. And I had managed to grow three trees on the efficiency meter!
